Polock Pines' LBJ Grasslands Spring Dual CTC
Fun, casual Trail Horse Competion for Equine Charity
The first-ever Polock Pines LBJ Grasslands CTC Champion, Linda Bullard

Polock Pines will be the host venue for a two-day Competitive Trail Challenge, or CTC, sanctioned by The American Competitive Trail Horse Association, or ACTHA, on April 30 and May 1, 2011. Ride out will be at 9:30am and the challenge will take about 4 hours on day one and 3 hours on day 2. Unlike timed endurance rides, the CTC is comprised of 6 or 8 judged obstacles over a 6 or 8 mile trail ride. Horse and rider alike are judged on a ten point scale for their ability to accomplish each obstacle. Points are tabulated at the end of the ride, and the top six places in each division, Open, Pleasure, and Junior, are awarded prizes and ribbons. You can visit the ACTHA website at www.ACTHA.us for a comprehensive look at the event structure,  the horse rescue charities that benefit from this event, and the official rules. You must be an ACTHA member to compete. You will sign up for the ride through the ACTHA website.
